Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 500 g Potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 (approx. 1.2 kg) ready-to-cook chicken
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Rose peppers
  • 1 can(s) (425 ml) peeled tomatoes
  • 300 g Leeks (leek)
  • 1/2 bunch Thyme

Directions

  1. 1

Peel and wash the potatoes and cut into quarters lengthwise. Cook in boiling salted water for about 15 minutes, then drain. In the meantime, cut the chicken into 6-8 pieces, wash and pat dry.

  2. 2

Heat the oil in a large frying pan. Fry the chicken parts for about 10 minutes while turning. Season with salt, pepper and paprika. Cut the tomatoes roughly while still in the tin. Deglaze chicken with tomatoes and 1/4 litre water.

  3. 3

Braise in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 30 minutes. In the meantime, clean and wash the leek and cut it into bite-sized pieces. After 10 minutes add to the chicken. Wash the thyme and chop, except for a little bit for garnishing.

  4. 4

Sprinkle chicken damiz. Fold in the potatoes 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Season again and serve garnished with the remaining thyme.
