Baked apples with vanilla sauce

Ingredients

  • 100 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 30 g chopped almonds
  • 1 TABLESPOON Raisins
  • 4 sour apples (about 200 g each)
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 1/8 l clear apple juice
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla flavor
  • 30 g Sugar
  • 1/2 l Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint leaves

Directions

    For the filling, knead marzipan, chopped almonds and raisins. Divide into 4 pieces. Form rolls about 1 cm thick. Wash the apples, cut off a lid on each and cut out the cores. Fill each with a marzipan roll. Press protruding ends flat on the apples. Place the apples in ovenproof moulds.

    Sprinkle the filled apples and lids with lemon and apple juice. Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 20 minutes. Add the lids for the last 5 minutes. Meanwhile, for the sauce, stir the sauce powder, sugar and 3 tablespoons of milk until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to the boil and remove from the heat. Add the sauce powder while stirring continuously, bring to the boil again. Serve apples and sauce decorated with mint leaves
