Baked apples with cranberries

Ingredients

  • 30 g Walnut kernels
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 20 g dried cranberries
  • 70 g Marzipan raw mass
  • 4 Apples (e.g. Elstar)
  • 1 package Sauce powder "Vanilla flavor
  • 500 ml Milk
  • baking paper

Directions

    Coarsely chop the walnuts. Caramelise 2 tablespoons of sugar in a small pan, stir in the walnuts, place on baking paper and allow to cool. Chop cranberries and grate marzipan. Mix walnuts with cranberries and marzipan

    Wash the apples, grate them dry and cut out the core with a cookie cutter. Press in the filling. Bake apples in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 20 minutes

    Stir the sauce powder with 6 tbsp. milk until smooth. Bring the remaining milk and 2 tablespoons of sugar to the boil in a saucepan and remove from the heat. Stir the sauce powder into the hot milk with a whisk and bring to the boil while stirring continuously. Remove apples from the oven, arrange on a plate and drizzle with vanilla sauce. Add the rest of the sauce
