Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 75 g Butter
  • 150 g Flour
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 40 g + 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON Sunflower oil
  • 30 g Pine nuts
  • 6 Apples (approx. 175 g each)
  • 20 g Sultanas
  • 1 TABLESPOON Rum
  • 1 TABLESPOON Lemon juice
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour

Directions

  1. 1

For the dough, knead butter in pieces, flour, egg yolk, 40 g sugar and 2 tbsp water first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer, then with your hands to a smooth dough.

  2. 2

Roll out the dough on a floured work surface in a rectangle (15 x 25 cm). Cut into 15 strips (approx. 1 x 25 cm). Cut 9 strips to approx. 18 cm length (use the rest for other purposes).

  3. 3

Weave a grid from the 9 short strips in one direction and 6 long strips in the other direction. Cut the grid into 6 squares and chill.

  4. 4

Heat the oil in a pan and roast the pine nuts for about 2 minutes while turning. Wash apples and grate them dry. Cut off one lid each. Slightly hollow out the apples, removing the core.

  5. 5

Coarsely chop the hollowed out flesh. Use the lid for other purposes.

  6. 6

Mix the chopped pulp, sultanas, pine nuts, rum, 1 tablespoon sugar and lemon juice. Fill apples with it, pressing them lightly. Place 1 grid on each apple. Press lightly on the edges.

  7. 7

Break the cinnamon stick into small oblong pieces and put them in the middle of the grids as an apple stalk. Put the apples into an ovenproof dish and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ circulating air: 175 °C/ gas: see
