Baked apple compote from the oven with vanilla yoghurt

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Apples (e.g. Boskop)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 TABLESPOON Butter
  • 1/4 l apple juice
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 package Bourbon vanilla sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Cinnamon
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 300 g Vanilla Yoghurt

Directions

    Peel apples, quarter them and cut out the core. Cut apple quarters into large pieces and pour lemon juice over them. Grease a casserole dish with butter. Put the apples in it.

    Mix 1/8 litre apple juice, sugar, vanilla sugar and cinnamon and pour over the apples. Add aniseed. Roast in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 20-25 minutes.

    Add the rest of the apple juice bit by bit during the frying time. Pour the baked apple compote into glasses or bowls. Add some yoghurt. Add the remaining vanilla yoghurt. Serve baked apple compote warm.
