Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Onions
  • 2–3 Garlic cloves
  • 3 Organic limes
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 600 g Minced beef
  • 200 g Mung bean sprouts
  • 250 g Basmati Rice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 8-10 Stem(s) Coriander
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Sambal Oelek
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 100 ml Soy sauce
  • 4 small red chili pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp ground cilantro

Directions

    Peel and chop the onions. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Wash the limes thoroughly and grate them dry. Finely grate the zest of 1 lime. Halve 2 limes and squeeze the juice. Cut 1 lime into pieces

    Heat the oil in a large pan, crumble the minced meat into it and fry vigorously while turning. In the meantime, wash the sprouts, place them in a bowl, pour boiling water over them and let them steep for 2-3 minutes. Pour into a sieve and drain well

    Prepare rice in boiling salted water according to package instructions. Wash the coriander, shake dry and pluck the leaves roughly from the stalks. Add onions and garlic to the mince. Fry briefly. Season with salt, pepper, sambal oelek and sugar. Deglaze with lime juice and soy sauce, bring to the boil

    Add the sprouts, lime zest, lime pieces and coriander. Heat, season again with salt, pepper and sugar. Arrange the mince pan garnished with chilli pepper. Add rice in a small bowl, possibly sprinkled with ground coriander

    Tip: If you don't like pieces of lime in your food, cut them a little coarsely and take them out of the food before eating
