Apple-yoghurt waffles with applesauce

Ingredients

  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 1 kg Apples
  • 4 TABLESPOONS + 50 g sugar
  • 100 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 175 g Flour
  • 1 TEASPOON Baking Powder
  • 100 g Skimmed milk yoghurt
  • 150 g Vanilla Yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Wash the lemon hot, grate dry and grate the peel thinly. Halve the fruit and squeeze the juice. Peel apples, except for one small apple, cut into quarters and remove seeds. Cut the fruit flesh into small pieces. Steam with 4 tablespoons lemon juice and 3 tablespoons water in a closed pot for about 10 minutes.

    Season to taste with 4 tbsp. sugar and crush finely with a hand blender. Let the finished applesauce cool down, then put it in a cool place. For the waffles, stir the fat, 50 g sugar, vanillin sugar, lemon zest and salt until creamy. Stir in the eggs one by one. Peel the remaining apple and grate roughly. Mix flour and baking powder, alternately stir in the skimmed milk yoghurt. Fold in grated apple. Preheat waffle iron and grease lightly.
