Dice butter. Separate eggs. Mix flour, , butter, 100 g sugar and egg yolks. Beat the egg whites until stiff, then pour in 100 g sugar. Carefully fold the beaten egg whites into the dough
Peel and quarter apples, remove core. Cut quarter into slices. Mix slices and caramel spread
Pour half of the dough into a greased and floured casserole dish (approx. 18 x 30 cm). Add the apple mixture and cover with the remaining dough. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for approx. 1 hour (stick test). Serve lukewarm or cold
