Apple muffins with chocolate lentils

Ingredients

Servings: 12
  • 1-2 Apple (approx. 200 g)
  • 150 g soft butter or margarine
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 125 g demerara sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 300 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 125 g Icing sugar
  • 1 TABLESPOON Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chocolate lentils
  • 24 Paper sleeves

Directions

    Peel, quarter, core and cut apples into small cubes. Cream fat, salt, vanillin sugar and sugar with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one after the other. Mix flour and baking powder, alternately stir in with the milk. Fold apple cubes into the dough. Place 2 paper cups in each tray of a muffin tray (12 trays). Spread the dough in them.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 30 minutes. Let cool on a cake rack. Stir icing sugar, lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of water until smooth. Spread the icing on the muffins with a spoon. Decorate with chocolate lentils. Leave to dry
