Mix 1 bag of jelly powder in a pot with the apple juice and let it swell for 5 minutes. Add 4 well heaped tablespoons of sugar and heat while stirring until everything is dissolved (do not let it boil). Let the liquid cool down. In the meantime peel, halve and core the apple. Cut the apple quarters into fine sticks or grate roughly. Put apple sticks into the still liquid jelly and divide into 4 glasses.
Let the jelly set (5-6 hours). For the vanilla sauce, stir the sauce powder, about 3 tablespoons of milk and the remaining sugar until smooth. Bring the remaining milk to the boil, stir in the sauce powder and bring to the boil while stirring. Put some cling film directly on the sauce and let it cool down (so no skin forms). Serve apple dish with vanilla sauce
