Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 collar Parsley
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 50 g Butter
  • 200 ml Milk
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 1 (approx. 175 g) Apples
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Cranberries (from the glass)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

  1. 1

Soak rolls in water. Peel potatoes and cook in boiling salted water for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile peel and finely dice the onion. Wash parsley, dab dry, pluck leaves from the stalks and chop finely.

  2. 2

Squeeze the bread well and put it in a bowl with minced meat, onion, parsley and egg. Season with salt and pepper and knead well. Drain the potatoes, add 30 g butter and mash with a potato masher.

  3. 3

Warm the milk and gradually stir it into the mashed potatoes. Season with salt and nutmeg. Grease a casserole dish (approx. 1.2 litres capacity) and spread the mince in it. Spread the mashed potatoes on it and cook in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 150 °C/ gas: level 1) for about 30 minutes.

  4. 4

In the meantime peel the apple and cut it into slices. Take the casserole out of the oven and cover with apple slices and cranberries. Spread the rest of the butter in pieces on top and bake in the oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for another 20-30 minutes.
