Ingredients

  • 3-4 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 2 large sour green apples (e.g. Granny Smith)
  • 2 large sour red apples (e.g. Braeburn)
  • 1 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 50 g Sugar
  • 50 g Dark chocolate coating
  • 50 g Whole milk couverture
  • 7-10 Tbsp Oil
  • baking paper

Directions

    Pour about 1.5 litres of water into a large bowl, add 3-4 tablespoons of lemon juice. Wash the apples, cut out the core with an apple corer. Cut apples into thin slices on a vegetable slicer, place slices in lemon water

    Thinly grease two oven racks with oil, place apple slices on top. Dry in the preheated oven on the lower two insertion rails (electric oven: 100°C/ circulating air: 80°C/ gas: see manufacturer) for 4 1/2-5 hours. While doing so, place a wooden spoon in the oven door

    Mix cinnamon and sugar in a bowl. Turn some apple chips in cinnamon sugar. Melt the couverture separately over a warm water bath. Dip the unsweetened apple chips into the different types of chocolate coating as desired, let them dry on baking paper
