Almond dough with cherries

Ingredients

  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 125 g crushed almonds
  • 2 (720 ml each) Glasses
  • 7-10 Tbsp Morello cherries
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 250 g Flour
  • 200 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 150 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar for the
  • 7-10 Tbsp Dusting

Directions

    Stir the fat until foamy. Add sugar and vanillin sugar. Add the eggs bit by bit. Mix flour, baking powder and almonds and stir in. Grease a baking tray and spread the dough on it.

    Drain the cherries. Sprinkle the dough with breadcrumbs and spread the cherries on top. Knead the ingredients for the crumbles with the dough hook of the hand mixer. Crumble over the cherries with your hands.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 45 minutes. Take out, let cool down. Dust with icing sugar. Results in about 20 pieces.
