Zanzibar burger with potato mix

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 200 g Mayonnaise
  • 200 g Fresh cream
  • 1 TABLESPOON Hot-Chili-Sauce (bottle)
  • 750 g Potatoes
  • 2 TABLESPOONS + 2 tablespoons oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper
  • 2 TEASPOONS Cajun spice (e.g. from the Zanzibar)
  • 100 g Potato Chips
  • 600 g minced beef
  • 1 Egg
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Breadcrumbs
  • 4 Salad leaves
  • 4 rustic rolls
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Tomato ketchup

Directions

    For the chili sauce, mix mayonnaise, crème fraîche and chili sauce.

    For the potato mix, peel, wash and slice the potatoes. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large frying pan. Fry the potatoes for 20-30 minutes while turning. Season with salt, pepper and Cajun spice and keep warm.

    For the meatballs, knead the mince, egg and breadcrumbs. Season with salt and pepper. Form 4 flat meatballs from the mixture. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry the meatballs for 3-4 minutes on each side.

    Wash the lettuce leaves and shake dry. Cut open the buns. Spread ketchup and some chilli sauce on the lower halves. Put the meatballs on top. Cover with lettuce leaves and add some garlic sauce (see

    Recipe fish and chips) drizzle over it. Place the top half of the roll on top. Mix potatoes with potato chips and Pimientos de Padrón. Add the rest of the chilli sauce and garlic sauce.
