Warm roast beef and goat cheese sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 Whole grain baguettes (à approx. 250 g)
  • 200 g Goat cheese
  • 4 TSP honey + something to sprinkle on
  • 75 g Rocket
  • 6 Figs (about 60 g each)
  • 12 discs Roast beef cold cuts ( à approx. 15 g)
  • 7-10 Tbsp black pepper
  • baking paper

Directions

    Cut baguettes diagonally in half, then cut them in half lengthwise. Crumble the goat's cheese. Sprinkle about 40 g of crumbled cheese on each of the cut surfaces of the bagette halves. Drizzle 1 teaspoon honey over each.

    Place all baguette quarters on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake in a preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 8-10 minutes. In the meantime, clean and wash the rocket.

    Wash figs, remove stalks. Cut figs into slices. Remove baguette halves. Cover baguette halves with rocket. Place slices of roast beef and figs on top. Sprinkle with honey as desired, sprinkle with pepper and remaining cheese.

    Replace the lid.
