Veal liver with roasted onions and apples

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 600 g Calf's liver in small slices
  • 2 medium-sized apples
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 4 discs Bacon
  • 1 Onion
  • 6 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Parsley

Directions

    Wash liver, pat dry. Peel apples, cut out core. Cut apples into rings. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in a frying pan. Fry the bacon in it until crispy, take it out and let it drain on kitchen paper.

    Fry the apple slices in portions in the bacon fat for about 2 minutes on each side. Remove and keep warm. Peel onion, cut into rings, dust with 2 tbsp. flour, knock off excess flour.

    Fry the onion rings in the fat until crispy. Take them out and let them drip off on kitchen paper. Turn the liver in 4 tablespoons of flour. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a frying pan. Fry the liver in portions for about 6 minutes each, season with salt.

    Arrange liver, apple slices, onion rings and bacon. Season with pepper and garnish with parsley. Mashed potatoes taste good with it.
