Vanilla pudding with cherry compote

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 glass (720 ml) Cherries
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • 1 Star Anise
  • 1 knife tip ground cloves
  • 65 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 2 TEASPOONS Cornstarch
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 500 ml Milk

Directions

    Drain the cherries in a sieve. Collect the juice in a pot and bring to the boil with the cinnamon stick, star anise, cloves, 45 g sugar and vanillin sugar. Mix starch with 50 ml cold water and add to the cherry juice. Cook for about 2 minutes while stirring constantly until the juice thickens slightly. Remove cinnamon stick and star anise. Stir in cherries

    Mix pudding powder and 20 g sugar, stir with 50 ml milk until smooth. Bring 450 ml milk to the boil in a saucepan, remove from the heat, stir in the pudding powder. Bring to the boil again while stirring and simmer over a low heat for about 1 minute

    Fill the glasses halfway with pudding. Then spoonfuls of stewed cherries on one side and vanilla pudding on the other
