Tyrolean layer noodles with bacon

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 400 g ribbon noodles
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 1/2 l Milk
  • 125 g Whipped cream
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated nutmeg
  • 200 g Austrian cheese (e.g. Emmentaler, mountain cheese)
  • 50 g Cottage cheese
  • 1 Onion
  • 10 g Butter
  • 1/4 collar Chives
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease

Directions

    Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the packet. Bring milk and cream to the boil and season with salt, pepper and nutmeg. Grate the cheese and mix with the cottage cheese. Drain the pasta in a sieve and put it back into the pot.

    Add milk mixture and cheese and mix. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 20 minutes. In the meantime, peel and dice the onion.

    Heat butter and fry onion cubes for about 5 minutes while turning. Wash chives, shake dry and cut into small rolls. Arrange layer noodles with onions and chives.
