Turkey legs in tomato-onion-vegetables

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Turkey drumsticks (approx. 1,5 kg)
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon Pepper
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1/4 l Vegetable broth (instant)
  • 1/4 l White wine
  • 500 g Tomatoes
  • 500 g Onions
  • 1 collar Parsley
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 2 Garlic cloves

Directions

    Wash turkey legs, dab dry and rub with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a roaster. Brown the turkey legs in it until they are brown all around. Roast uncovered in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for approx. 1 1/2 hours.

    Little by little add broth and wine. In the meantime, cut the tomatoes crosswise and boil them briefly in boiling water. Peel the skin and quarter the tomatoes. Peel onions and cut them into slices.

    Add the vegetables to the meat 45 minutes before the end of the cooking time. Wash the parsley and put something aside to garnish. Cut the rest into strips. Wash lemon thoroughly and rub dry. Grate the lemon peel.

    Peel the garlic and press it through a garlic press or chop it finely. Mix parsley, lemon peel and garlic. Season vegetables with salt and pepper. Sprinkle legs with the garlic mixture.

    Garnish with lemon wedges and parsley if desired. Serve with baguette or rice.
