Ingredients

Servings: 40
  • 350 g + some flour
  • 75 g ground almonds (without skin)
  • 1 knife tip Baking Powder
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cinnamon
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 Egg (Gr. M)
  • 150 g soft butter
  • 150 g Milk and white chocolate coating
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar decoration
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Loop belt

Directions

  1. 1

First mix 350 g flour, almonds, baking powder, sugar, 1 pinch of salt, 1 pinch of cinnamon and vanilla sugar in a mixing bowl. Add the egg, 2 tablespoons cold water and butter in flakes. Knead everything first with the dough hooks of the hand mixer and then briefly with your hands to a smooth dough.

  2. 2

Form the dough into a ball and cover it with approx.

  3. 3

    Chill for 45 minutes.

  4. 4

Now preheat the oven: electric cooker: 200 C/circulating air: 175 °C/gas: stage 3. Then divide the dough into 2 halves. Roll out a portion of dough on some flour to a thickness of approx. 4 mm and cut out with cookie cutters of different sizes, e.g. hearts, stars and flowers.

  5. 5

(à 7-12 cm Ø). Use a punched spout (approx. 7 mm Ø) to cut a hole from each cookie to hang it up.

  6. 6

Line a baking tray with baking paper. Put the first biscuits on top, put them in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes. Now take the tray out of the oven with oven gloves or oven mitts and lift the biscuits from the tray onto a cake rack with a spatula.

  7. 7

Process the second dough portion in the same way. Briefly knead all the leftover dough and process in the same way.

  8. 8

Coarsely chop both couvertures separately and melt them one after the other in a hot water bath. Leave to cool for about 10 minutes. Then spread the biscuits half with white and half with dark chocolate coating. Decorate with sugar decoration as you like and let them dry.

  9. 9

Finally, pull a ribbon through the holes in each cookie and hang them on the Christmas tree.
