  • 200 g liquid honey
  • 60 g Butter
  • 100 g demerara sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 2 eggs + 1 egg white (size M)
  • 500 g + some flour
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Cocoa
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 2 TEASPOONS Gingerbread spice
  • 150 g Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp colored tracing paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp various nuts and silver sugar beads
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cling film

Directions

    For the dough, heat honey, butter, sugar and 1 pinch of salt while stirring until the sugar has dissolved. Put the mixture into a bowl and let it cool down. Stir the eggs one by one into the honey mixture.

    Mix 500 g flour, cocoa, baking powder and gingerbread spice and sieve onto the mixture and knead it. Wrap the dough in foil and chill for at least 2 hours.

    The paper templates for 2 roofs (approx. 15 x 20 cm; see fig. 1), for 2 sides of the house (approx. 6 x 15 cm) and 2 gable sides (approx. 15 cm wide, 20 cm high and 6 cm high at the sides; see fig.

    For the icing, beat the egg whites until stiff, while pouring in icing sugar. Pour the icing into a freezer bag and cut off a small corner. Glue behind the windows with some transparent paper.

    Then first glue the sides and gables of the house together, spraying the edges of each with cast iron. Leave to dry for 30-40 minutes, the cast must be really firm. Then fix the roof tiles with the casting.

    Also allow to dry for 30-40 minutes.

    Put together squares for the chimney with cast iron, let them dry, cut them diagonally at one edge and glue them to the gable. Glue the door to the house with cast iron. Leave to dry. Decorate the roof and gable of the house with icing drops or flowers.

    Stick nuts and sugar pearls onto it and let it dry.
