Ingredients

  • 300 g Flour
  • 175 g Butter
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 1 TEASPOON ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 TEASPOON ground cloves
  • 1 knife tip grated nutmeg
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 300 g Icing sugar
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp red, blue and yellow food colouring
  • 7-10 Tbsp Love Beads
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Pearls Spell
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Décor hearts
  • 7-10 Tbsp red sugar lettering
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper
  • 7-10 Tbsp Freezer bag

Directions

    Knead flour, butter, sugar, egg, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and salt to a smooth shortcrust pastry. Chill for about 1 hour. Make a stencil out of cardboard or paper for Sterntaler and clouds. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface. Cut out star coins and clouds and cut out moon, shooting star and at least 24 stars of different sizes from the remaining dough. Spread on baking sheets lined with baking paper.

    Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 10 minutes in succession. Let them cool down. For the icing, stir 250 g icing sugar, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth. Remove 1 tablespoon from the icing and colour pink with red food colouring. Divide the remaining icing into three portions. Leave one portion white, the others light blue and yellow. Take a teaspoon from the blue icing and colour it dark blue. Paint the star coins, clouds, stars and moon as you wish and place sugar pearls or hearts on the moist icing and sprinkle them over it. To paint contours, e.g. star-shaped thalers, stir the icing with the remaining icing sugar and fill into a freezer bag. Cut off a small corner.

    Leave one portion white, the others light blue and yellow. Take a teaspoon from the blue icing and colour it dark blue. Paint the star coins, clouds, stars and moon as you wish and place sugar pearls or hearts on the moist icing and sprinkle them over it. To paint contours, e.g. star-shaped thalers, stir the icing with the remaining icing sugar and fill into a freezer bag. Cut off a small corner. Spray contours and frills. Number the stars and moon with red sugar writing from 1-24
