Spicy baked apples to puree

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 kg Potatoes
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper, nutmeg
  • 2 Onions (e.g. red)
  • some stem(s) Marjoram
  • 4 TABLESPOONS butter/margarine
  • 8 (approx. 800 g) small apples
  • 7-10 Tbsp Grease
  • 250 g Mushrooms
  • 3/8 l Milk
  • 1 TEASPOON clear broth (instant)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS sauce thickener
  • 300 g frozen peas

Directions

    Peel and wash the potatoes and cook in salted water for about 20 minutes

    Peel and chop the onions. Wash and chop the marjoram. Heat 1 tbsp. fat. Steam onions until transparent. Season with marjoram, salt and pepper. Wash apples, cut out cores

    Place apples in a greased fireproof dish. Pour the onion mixture into the apples. Bake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 200 °C / convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for 20-30 minutes

    Clean, wash and halve the mushrooms. Fry in 1 tbsp. hot fat. Deglaze with 1/8 l water and milk each, bring to the boil. Stir in broth. thicken sauce, season with salt and pepper

    Mash the potatoes. Heat peas and 2 tablespoons of fat in 1/4 l milk. Stir into the mixture. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg

    Drink: cool cider
