Spaghetti with steak strips

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 4 Onions
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 red chilli pepper
  • 1/2 Head broccoli
  • 2 Rib-eye steaks (approx. 600 g in total)
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 400 g Spaghetti Noodles
  • 2 TABLESPOONS demerara sugar
  • 1 can(s) (850 ml) Tomatoes
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Wine vinegar
  • 75 ml cold coffee
  • 2-3 TEASPOONS Capers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Aluminium foil

Directions

    Peel and finely dice the onions and garlic. Wash the chilli, dab dry, cut open, scrape out the seeds and finely chop the pod. Clean and wash the broccoli. Cut the florets directly from the stalk. Cut the florets lengthwise into slices

    Dab meat dry. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large frying pan. Fry the meat in it for 2-3 minutes on each side depending on its thickness, season with salt and pepper, remove, wrap in foil and leave to rest in a warm place. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water according to the instructions on the packet in a large saucepan. Add broccoli 3-4 minutes before the end of the cooking time and cook

    Heat the meat again, fry the onions and garlic until transparent. Sprinkle with sugar and let it caramelize. Deglaze with tomatoes, vinegar and coffee. Chop the tomatoes with a spatula. Press the capers a little bit, add and simmer covered for about 5 minutes, season with salt, pepper and sugar

    Cut the meat into slices. Drain the noodles, add the sauce and 1 tbsp. oil back into the pot, toss through. Arrange noodles and meat on plates
