Ingredients

Servings: 23
  • 150 g Low-fat curd
  • 100 g clotted cream
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 75 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Milk
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 350 g Flour
  • 1 l oil for frying
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Icing sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON red sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour

Directions

  1. 1

Mix quark, sour cream, vanillin sugar, sugar, salt, egg, oil and milk. Mix flour and baking powder, add to the quark mixture and knead everything into a smooth dough using the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm on a well floured work surface and cut out 11 large rings (9 cm Ø) and 12 small rings (5.5 cm Ø). Cut another circle (2 cm Ø) from the middle of each circle. Heat frying oil in a wide pot to approx. 150 °C.

  2. 2

Put donuts in portions into the hot fat and bake for about 1 minute until golden brown. Take out, drain on kitchen paper and let cool down briefly. Dust with icing sugar and sprinkle with red sugar. Maple syrup tastes good with it
