Small mulled wine slices with mulled wine pouring and sugar pearls

Ingredients

  • 250 g soft butter
  • 125 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 4 Eggs (size M)
  • 250 g Flour
  • 2 TEASPOONS Baking Powder
  • 150 g dark chocolate
  • 125 ml + 5 tablespoons mulled wine
  • 275 g Icing sugar
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp sugar pearls

Directions

    Cream butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and eggs with the whisk of the hand mixer. Mix flour and baking powder and fold in. Chop the chocolate and fold in as well. Add 125 ml mulled wine and mix to a smooth dough. Spread evenly on a greased baking tray (32 x 39 cm). Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 20 minutes, remove from oven, let cool off.

    For the icing, stir 200 g icing sugar with 5 tbsp. mulled wine until smooth, spread evenly on the dough, allow to set. For the decoration, mix 75 g icing sugar with lemon juice to a thick icing. Pour the icing into a paper piping bag. Divide the dough into about 100 small pieces. Decorate the canapés with white icing and sugar pearls
