Ingredients

Servings: 1
  • 200 g Sloes
  • 1 Vanilla pod
  • 150 g white candy
  • 0,75 l Double grain or vodka

Directions

  1. 1

Pluck the sloes from the stems, wash and drain well. Remove the stones from 2-3 sloes. Freeze the remaining sloes overnight, unless they were harvested after the first frost.

  2. 2

Put frozen sloes into a large bottle with a wide neck (at least 1 litre capacity). Cut the vanilla pod in half lengthwise. Crack the stones with a hammer. Add vanilla and stones to the fruit. Add candy. Top up with double grain or vodka. Close the bottle and leave the mixture on the windowsill for about 10 weeks

  3. 3

Shake briefly every few days at the beginning. Pour the liqueur through a fine sieve and pour into a decorative bottle. The liqueur keeps for years, the longer it is stored, the better it tastes

  4. 4
