Sliced meat with ginger-carrots

Ingredients

  • 100 g lean schnitzel (chicken or turkey)
  • 1 small onion
  • 1-2 (approx. 100 g) Carrots
  • 7-10 Tbsp or some mixed ginger
  • 50 g Spätzle or noodles
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, 1/2 tsp (3 g) oil, pepper
  • 5 tablespoons (50 ml) low-fat milk
  • 1 TEASPOON sauce thickener
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Lime or lemon juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lime and herbs

Directions

    Wash the meat, pat dry and cut into strips. Peel and finely chop the onion. Peel, wash and slice carrots. Peel ginger, chop finely

    Cook spaetzle in boiling salted water for 10-12 minutes (or follow package instructions)

    Fry the meat and onion in hot oil for about 3 minutes. Add carrots and ginger and fry briefly. Season. Add 1/8 l water, bring to the boil, cover and steam for about 5 minutes

    Stir in the milk, bring to the boil briefly and thicken the sauce slightly. Season to taste with lime juice, salt and pepper. Serve everything. Garnish with lime and herbs if necessary

    If you are on a low-fat diet, you should always use low-fat milk. It contains only 1.5% fat, 2% less than whole milk
