Shashlik skewers with french fries

Ingredients

  • 3 Onions
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Sunflower oil
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Curry Powder
  • 1 TABLESPOON Flour
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 200 ml Vegetable broth
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Cider vinegar
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 1 red and green peppers (approx. 150 g each)
  • 4 discs lean smoked streaky bacon
  • 500 g Pork escalope meat
  • 600 g deep-frozen fries
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 4 Shashlik skewers

Directions

    For the sauce, peel 1 onion and chop coarsely. Heat 1 tbsp. oil in a saucepan and fry the onion for approx. 5 minutes, turning. Dust with curry and flour, stir in tomato paste and sauté briefly. Add stock while stirring, bring to the boil and simmer for about 10 minutes. Pour sauce through a sieve. Season to taste with vinegar, sugar, salt and pepper

    Peel 2 onions and cut into quarters. Clean, wash and roughly dice the peppers. Cut the bacon slices into thirds. Cut the meat into about 16 cubes (each weighing about 30 g). Put the paprika, onion and bacon alternately on 4 shashlik skewers. Season with salt and pepper. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry the skewers for 10-15 minutes on all sides.

    In the meantime prepare chips according to the instructions on the packet. Season the fries with salt and paprika. Arrange skewers, sauce and chips on a plate. Serve with mayonnaise
