Semolina dumpling with cherry compote

Ingredients

  • 1 glass (720 ml) Cherries
  • 2 packages Vanillin sugar
  • 1 package Vanilla sauce powder
  • 375 ml Milk
  • 25 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 45 g Semolina
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS coffee liqueur
  • 2 (5 g each) Ladyfingers
  • 7-10 Tbsp Mint and mocha beans

Directions

    Drain the cherries well on a sieve and collect the cherry juice. Stir five tablespoons of cherry juice, vanillin sugar and sauce powder until smooth. Bring the rest of the cherry juice to the boil. Stir in the sauce powder and bring to the boil again. Carefully fold in the cherries. Bring milk, sugar and salt to the boil, stir in semolina and liqueur.

    Let swell for 2-3 minutes while stirring. Let semolina cool down for about 10 minutes. In the meantime crumble the sponge finger. Form 12 dumplings from the semolina with two tablespoons. Arrange the stewed cherries and dumplings on dessert plates, sprinkled with the crumbled ladyfingers. Decorate as you like with mint and mocha beans
