Rump steak with fries

Ingredients

  • 400 g White cabbage
  • 200 g Carrots
  • 4 Stem(s) Parsley
  • 250 g Whole milk yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 1 pinch Sugar
  • 450 g deep-frozen fries
  • 4 Rump steaks (approx. 200 g each)
  • 7-10 Tbsp coarse pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 7-10 Tbsp Parsley and tomato
  • baking paper

Directions

    Clean and wash the cabbage and cut out the stalk. Slice the cabbage or cut into fine strips. Peel and wash carrots and cut them into thin, long strips. Wash parsley, dab dry and cut into strips. Mix yoghurt, lemon juice and olive oil.

    Season with salt, pepper and sugar. Mix the vegetables and parsley with the marinade and let it stand for at least 1 hour. Spread the French fries on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 20 minutes until golden brown, turn once after approx. 12 minutes. Wash the rump steaks, dab dry and cut into the fat edge. Season meat with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a pan, fry steaks on each side for approx. 3 minutes. Take them out and let them rest for about 5 minutes. Sprinkle french fries with salt.
