Wash the asparagus and cut off the woody ends. Cook the asparagus in salted water for 4-5 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water. Drain the asparagus well
Halve the bacon slices crosswise. Wrap 1/2 slice of bacon around each asparagus spear. Heat oil in portions in a frying pan. Fry the asparagus for about 4 minutes while turning. Remove and keep warm
Season asparagus with salt and pepper. Squeeze lemon. Melt butter and add lemon juice. Arrange asparagus spears in a dish and sprinkle with lemon butter. Sprinkle with some coarse pepper and serve immediately
