Ingredients

  • 150 g frozen cherries
  • 500 g Mirabelle plums
  • 500 g Schmand
  • 400 g Double cream cream cheese
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 280 g Sugar
  • 7 Eggs (size M)
  • 1 package Pudding powder "Vanilla Flavor"
  • 175 g Butter or margarine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 300 g Flour
  • 12 g (3 coated teaspoons) Baking Powder
  • 40 g Cocoa powder
  • 250 ml Red wine
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cocoa
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Allow cherries to thaw at room temperature. Wash, halve and stone the mirabelles. Stir sour cream, cream cheese, vanillin sugar and 150 g sugar until smooth. Stir in 5 eggs one at a time, add the pudding powder at the end

    Cream fat, 130 g sugar and salt. Mix flour, baking powder and cocoa. Add 2 eggs, red wine and flour mixture to the fat-sugar mixture. Mix with the whisk of the hand mixer for approx. 3 minutes

    Spread the dough evenly on the greased, floured fat pan of the oven (32 x 39 cm). Spread the cheese mixture on top. Arrange the mirabelle plum halves and cherries (2 cherries on each spot) diagonally in strips and bake in the preheated oven (electric range: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: see manufacturer) for 40-50 minutes. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool down on a cake rack. Dust with cocoa before serving
