Ingredients

  • 100 g Walnut kernels
  • 450 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 1 pinch salt, 125 g sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 75 g crunchy oats
  • 250 g Low-fat curd
  • 3 Eggs (Gr. M)
  • 125 g butter/margarine
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Rum or orange juice
  • 150 g Raisins
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • 250 g Apricot Jam
  • 1 TABLESPOON Icing sugar
  • baking paper

Directions

    Chop the walnuts. Mix flour, baking powder, salt, sugar, vanillin sugar and oat flakes, up to 1 tablespoon for decoration. Add quark, eggs, fat in flakes and rum. Knead everything with the dough hooks of the hand mixer. Knead in walnuts, except 1 tablespoon, and raisins

    Knead dough on flour. Cut in half and form 2 strands (approx. 70 cm long). Twist around each other like a cord. Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper to form a wreath. Press the ends together. Bake in a hot oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C / gas: level 2) for approx. 50 minutes

    Warm the jam and pass through a sieve. Coat the wreath with it. Decorate with remaining nuts and oatmeal, let cool. Dust with icing sugar
