Ingredients

  • 1.2 kg Potatoes
  • 5 medium-sized tomatoes
  • 2 medium-sized onions
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Oil (e.g. olive oil)
  • 750 g mixed mince
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, black pepper
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Tomato paste
  • 4 tablespoons (40 g) butter/margarine
  • 3 TABLESPOONS Flour
  • 200 g Whipped cream
  • 1-2 TABLESPOONS Vegetable broth
  • 150 g medieval Gouda
  • 1-2 TEASPOONS Italian herbs

Directions

    Wash the potatoes and cook in water for about 20 minutes. Quench and remove the skin. Let the potatoes cool down, then cut into slices

    Wash, clean and slice the tomatoes. Peel onions and garlic, dice finely. Fry garlic in hot oil. Add minced meat and fry well. Season with salt, pepper and tomato paste

    Heat the fat. Sauté onions in it. Dust with flour and sweat. Add 1/2 l water and cream. Stir in broth. Bring everything to the boil while stirring. Grate cheese. Melt a third in the sauce. Season to taste with salt, pepper and herbs

    Layer the potatoes, minced meat, tomatoes and sauce in an ovenproof dish. Finish with sauce and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C / gas: level 3) for approx. 35 minutes
