Potato gyros with feta

Ingredients

Servings: 2
  • 600-750 g new potatoes
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 3 small peppers
  • 1 Garlic clove
  • 1/2 baby onion
  • 1 TEASPOON Gyros spice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 2-3 stem(s) fresher or
  • 1/2 TEASPOON dried thyme
  • 1 TABLESPOON black olives
  • 100 g Feta or sheep's cheese
  • 7-10 Tbsp pickled peppers and
  • 7-10 Tbsp Herbs

Directions

    Brush the potatoes vigorously under water and let them drip off. Cut potatoes into slices. Fry in hot oil for about 20 minutes, turning frequently until golden brown

    Clean and wash the peppers and cut them into fine strips. Peel and chop the garlic. Peel onion and cut about 2/3 of it into strips

    Add the onion strips, paprika and garlic to the potatoes about 10 minutes before the end of the cooking time and fry them. Season with gyros spice, little salt and pepper

    Wash the thyme, remove the leaves. Add to the potatoes with the olives just before the end of the frying time. Crumble the cheese. Chop the rest of the onion coarsely. Sprinkle the feta cheese over the gyros potatoes. Garnish with pepperoni and herbs if necessary
