Finely grate the cheese. Grease a gratin dish. Preheat the oven (electric cooker: 200°C/circulating air: 175°C/gas: level 3). Peel and wash potatoes and cut or slice them very thinly.
Place potato slices in the form of a fan in several layers, season each layer with salt and pepper and sprinkle with a little cheese. Pour cream over them. Bake gratin in the hot oven on the lowest shelf for 40-50 minutes.
