Plum jam with spices

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Plums
  • 500 g Sugar
  • 100 ml Port wine
  • 1/4 TEASPOON Ginger
  • 1/4 TEASPOON Cloves
  • 1/2 TEASPOON Cinnamon
  • 1 (25 g) Bag Gelfix Two +One (Dr. Oetker)

Directions

    Wash the plums, cut them in half, remove the seeds. Cut the flesh into slices. Weigh 900 g prepared fruit. Mix sugar, except 2 tablespoons, port wine, spices and plums.

    Leave to soak for approx. 24 hours. Then mix Gelfix and remaining sugar and stir into the fruit mass. Bring everything to the boil over a high heat, stirring constantly, then let it boil for 1 minute until it becomes bubbly and fill it into carefully prepared glasses. Seal well
