Melt 50 g butter, let it cool down a little. Preheat oven (electric cooker: 225 °C/circulating air: 200 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Place an ovenproof pan (approx. 28 cm Ø, alternatively a large casserole dish) in the oven.
Beat the eggs, sugar and 1 pinch of salt with the whisk of the mixer until thick and creamy. Mix flour and baking powder, alternately stir in with the milk. Finally, stir in liquid butter. Melt 1 tbsp. butter in a hot pan.
Add half the dough. Bake in a hot oven for about 12 minutes.
Mix the quark and vanilla sugar. Remove pancakes from the pan. Bake another pancake with 1 tbsp. butter and the rest of the dough. Dust with icing sugar. Serve with quark and jam.
