Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 2 Camemberts (250 g each; in chip cartons)
  • 2-3 stem(s) Thyme
  • 1 big onion
  • 1 (approx. 180 g; e.g. Jonagold) Apples
  • 1 TABLESPOON Olive oil
  • 3 TABLESPOONS liquid honey
  • 7-10 Tbsp salt, pepper

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven (electric cooker: 225 °C/circulating air: 200 °C/gas: see manufacturer). Unwrap the cheese and put it back into the chip boxes. Place boxes of cheese on a baking tray. Bake in a hot oven for 10-12 minutes, possibly cutting the upper cheese rind crosswise after 7-8 minutes.

  2. 2

Wash the thyme, shake dry and pluck the leaves. Peel and halve the onion and cut into thin strips. Wash the apple, quarter it and remove the core. Cut apple into small pieces.

  3. 3

Heat the oil in a frying pan, fry the onion and apple briefly. Add honey and thyme leaves, bring to the boil. Season with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

Take the cheese out of the oven, spread the onion and apple mixture on top. Baguette tastes good with it.
