Ingredients

Servings: 6
  • 6 Organic oranges
  • 225 g Sugar
  • 2 TABLESPOONS Orange liqueur
  • 6 wooden skewers

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the oranges in hot water, grate them dry and peel them in fine strips with a zest ripper. Peel oranges so that the white skin is completely removed. First cut oranges into slices, then lay them on top of each other again so that whole fruits are formed again.

  2. 2

Fix with the help of wooden skewers.

  3. 3

Bring sugar and 100 ml water to the boil in a saucepan and reduce to a golden brown caramel. Add 100 ml water, bring to the boil again and simmer until the caramel has dissolved. Add orange peel, reduce to a syrupy consistency.

  4. 4

Pour the liqueur. Pour the syrup over the prepared oranges, cover and leave to stand for about 2 hours. Remove wooden skewers and arrange oranges on a plate.
