Ingredients

  • 275 g Dark chocolate
  • 300 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 300 g Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 6 Eggs (size M)
  • 375 g Flour
  • 1 package Baking Powder
  • 7-10 Tbsp grated peel of 2 untreated oranges
  • 7-10 Tbsp Juice of 1 untreated orange (about 80 ml)
  • 30 g Coconut oil
  • 2 candied orange slices
  • 7-10 Tbsp Chocolate rolls
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Roughly chop 75 g chocolate. Cream fat, vanilla sugar, sugar and 1 pinch of salt with the whisk of the hand mixer. Stir in the eggs one by one. Mix flour, baking powder and orange zest and stir in orange juice alternately. Fold in chopped chocolate. Pour the dough into a greased and floured box form (12 x 30 cm) and bake in a preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: level 2) for approx. 80 minutes (stick test). Remove the cake from the oven, let it cool down for approx. 15 minutes and turn out of the tin.

    Let them cool down on a cake rack. Roughly chop 200 g chocolate. Melt the chocolate and coconut oil in a bowl over a warm water bath. Pour the chocolate onto the cake so that it runs down the edges. Put the cake in a cool place for about 1 hour until the chocolate has set. Cut oranges into small cubes. Decorate with chocolate rolls
