  • 250 g Flour
  • 1 coated Tsp Baking Powder
  • 175 g Sugar
  • 1 package Vanillin sugar
  • 1 egg (size M)
  • 150 g ground hazelnuts
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 125 g Butter or margarine
  • 1 Egg yolk (size M)
  • 1 TABLESPOON Whipped cream
  • 100 g colorful cherries
  • 50 g Icing sugar
  • 7-10 Tbsp Flour
  • baking paper

Directions

  1. 1

Put flour, baking powder, sugar, vanillin sugar, egg, nuts, salt and fat in flakes into a mixing bowl. Knead with the dough hooks of the hand mixer to a smooth dough. Knead the dough with your hands again on a floured work surface.

  2. 2

Cover the dough and put it in a cool place for about 30 minutes. Form two rolls (approx. 2.5 cm Ø) from the dough. Cut the rolls into slices, form small loaves of bread from the slices and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.

  3. 3

Press in slightly with a fork. Whisk the egg yolk and cream, spread the nut breads with it and bake them one after the other on two trays in the preheated oven (electric range: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for 12-15 minutes.

  4. 4

Let the cookies cool down on a cake rack. Cut the cherries into slices. Stir icing sugar with a few drops of water until smooth. Spread a thin layer of icing sugar on top of the bread and cover with cherries.

  5. 5

    Results in about 42 pieces.
