Wash the raisins and dab dry. Put red wine, Madeira, raisins, sugar, vanilla sugar and 1 cinnamon stick into a pot and heat up for about 15 minutes. In the meantime, wash the orange, rub dry and cut into 6 slices. Fasten them to the 6 cinnamon sticks with the help of the wooden skewers. Cut out Christmassy motifs from the orange peel and pin them onto the orange slices. Add almonds to the mulled wine and serve hot
