Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Watermelon (approx. 3 kg)
  • 1 Kalamata olive without stone
  • 100 g Fruit gum in fish form
  • 7-10 Tbsp adhesive tape
  • 7-10 Tbsp wooden skewers

Directions

  1. 1

Wash the melon and rub dry. Cut off about 1/4 of the melon on one side. Hollow out the melon a little bit and put the flesh aside. Place the melon on this straight side. Cut out a mouth with a sharp knife.

  2. 2

Put the cut piece aside. Cover the edges of the mouth with a 1 cm wide adhesive tape. Score the edge of the tape into the shell. Put the knife under the tape and cut the green shell exactly to the end of the tape. Peel the tape and remove the melon skin

  3. 3

Carve and cut teeth into the resulting white surface. Cut two eyes with a sharp knife. Halve the olive. Pin each half into the eye socket with a wooden skewer.

  4. 4

Cut a shark fin from a piece of shell. Pin it with a toothpick. Cut melon pulp into pieces. Spread it with fruit gum in the mouth cavity and around the shark
