Meatballs with tomato feta filling and tzatziki

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread rolls from the previous day
  • 75-100 ml Milk
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 1/2 (approx. 200 g) Cucumber
  • 3 Stem(s) Mint
  • 250 g Greek cream yoghurt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Pepper
  • 100 g cherry tomatoes
  • 100 g Sheep's cheese
  • 5 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 TEASPOON Paniemehl
  • 1 Onion
  • 6 Stem(s) Basil
  • 800 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 egg (size M)

Directions

    Dice the buns. Heat milk. Soak rolls in it. Peel garlic and chop very finely. Wash, clean and finely grate the cucumber. Wash mint, shake dry, pluck leaves from the stalks and chop. Mix yoghurt, cucumber, mint and 2/3 of the garlic. Season with salt and pepper

    Wash the tomatoes, dab dry, halve and dice them. Crumble the cheese, mix with 1 tbsp. oil, 1 tsp. breadcrumbs and tomatoes

    Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash basil, shake dry, pluck leaves from the stems and chop. Squeeze out the buns. Knead minced meat, egg, bread roll, diced onion, half basil and the remaining garlic thoroughly. Season with salt and pepper

    Form approx. 16 small balls from the minced dough and press 1/2-1 teaspoon of cheese mixture into the middle of each ball. Heat 4 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan. Fry the balls for about 6 minutes, turning them over. Cover and fry for another 6-7 minutes. Finally, stir the remaining basil into the hot frying fat

    Arrange the meatballs and tzatziki on plates and drizzle with the frying mixture. Roasted ciabatta bread tastes good with it
