Meatballs with quark sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Bread roll (from the previous day)
  • 1 Onion
  • 500 g mixed minced meat
  • 1 Egg
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp Cayenne pepper
  • 2-3 TABLESPOONS Oil
  • 1 Cucumber
  • 1/2 Pot Mint
  • 1-2 Garlic cloves
  • 500 g Low-fat curd
  • 150 g liquid sour cream
  • 1 TEASPOON colourful peppercorns
  • 7-10 Tbsp Sweet peppers
  • 7-10 Tbsp a few squirts of Tabasco
  • 7-10 Tbsp Herbes, poivrons marinĂ©s et olives

Directions

    Soak rolls in cold water. Peel and finely chop the onion. Knead minced meat, onion, squeezed out roll and egg. Season to taste with salt and cayenne pepper. Form medium sized balls and fry them in hot oil all around.

    Fry over medium heat for ten minutes. Meanwhile, for the sauce, wash and coarsely grate the cucumber. Wash and chop the mint. Peel garlic and press it through a garlic press. Mix everything with quark and sour cream.

    Season to taste with salt, crushed peppercorns, paprika and Tabasco. Serve balls in the sauce garnished with herbs, pickled peppers and olives.
