Marinated chicken pieces in tomato sauce

Ingredients

Servings: 4
  • 1 Roast chicken (approx. 1.3 kg)
  • 2 Chicken legs (approx. 200 g each)
  • 1 Garlic bulb
  • 4-5 Tbsp Lemon juice
  • 500 g Tomatoes
  • 125 g Shallots
  • 1 untreated lemon
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 1/4 l Tomato juice
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp milled pepper
  • 7-10 Tbsp black and green olives
  • 1 Pot of thyme
  • 7-10 Tbsp Lemon Grater

Directions

    Cut the chicken into 6 parts, wash all parts and pat dry. Cut garlic bulb into slices. Sprinkle prepared ingredients with lemon juice, let stand for about 1 hour. In the meantime clean, wash and quarter the tomatoes.

    Peel the shallots. Wash the lemon and cut into slices. Dab chicken parts dry, keep marinade. Heat the oil in a frying pan. Fry the chicken parts in it until golden brown. Sauté the shallots in the frying fat.

    Deglaze with the marinade and tomato juice. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and braise in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ gas: level 3) for about 40 minutes. Add tomatoes and lemon wedges after 20 minutes, olives after 30 minutes.

    Season again before serving and serve sprinkled with chopped thyme and grated lemon.
