Lemon-garlic chicken

Ingredients

Servings: 7
  • 2 untreated lemons
  • 2 young garlic bulbs
  • 1 collar Rosemary
  • 1 collar Thyme
  • 2 double chicken breasts, on bone; with skin (à approx. 350 g)
  • 4 (200 g each) Chicken legs
  • 7-10 Tbsp Salt
  • 7-10 Tbsp white pepper
  • 4 TABLESPOONS Olive oil
  • 250 ml Chicken bouillon (instant)

Directions

    Wash the lemons, dab dry and cut off the ends. Cut the lemon into pieces. Peel garlic, cut half of it into thin slices. Wash herbs, dab dry. Remove half of the needles and leaves.

    Wash the chicken parts and dab dry. Halve chicken breasts once lengthwise. Carefully push garlic slices and herbs under the skin. Season with salt and pepper. Heat oil in a large frying pan.

    Brown the chicken parts in it for about 5 minutes. Add lemon, garlic cloves and herb twigs. Add the stock and braise in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 200 °C/ convection oven: 175 °C/ gas: level 3) for 50-60 minutes.

    Ciabatta bread tastes good with it.
