Ingredients

  • 150 g Walnut kernel halves
  • 150 g Dark chocolate
  • 1 (125 g) Apples
  • 200 g Flour
  • 1/2 package Baking Powder
  • 3 Eggs (size M)
  • 180 g demerara sugar
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 2 TEASPOONS Butter
  • 150 g Sugar
  • 1 TEASPOON Lemon juice
  • 6 Chocolate shell
  • 7-10 Tbsp Fat and flour

Directions

    Chop 100 g walnuts and 100 g chocolate. Peel and quarter the apple, remove the core. Grate fruit flesh. Mix prepared ingredients, flour and baking powder. Beat the eggs, brown sugar and oil with the whisk of the hand mixer for about 2 minutes. Add the prepared mixture, stirring only briefly.

    Divide 1 teaspoon of dough into 6 small praline moulds, the rest of the dough into 6 greased, floured box moulds (9 cm long). Bake in the preheated oven (electric cooker: 175 °C/ convection oven: 150 °C/ gas: stage 2) for 15-20 minutes, box-shaped cakes for 45-50 minutes. Cool slightly before turning over, then allow to cool completely. In the meantime, chop and melt 50 g of chocolate for decoration. Coat 50 g walnut halves with the melted chocolate, place in the fridge for a short time. Caramelise butter, sugar and lemon juice in a pan until light brown, drizzle immediately on the cakes and cover with chocolate nuts
